The New Grass program series is presented by Ars Nova Workshop in collaboration with The Woodlands, Philadelphia.

This summer, Ars Nova Workshop and The Woodlands present Spiritual Atmosferic Cleansing, a recurring “rhythmic release” featuring percussion, song, storytelling, and more. Led by Philadelphia percussionist Karen Smith, Spiritual Atmosferic Cleansing is an informal gathering that seeks to provide a space for us to get in tune with ourselves and others.
We hope to see you this summer, every other Wednesday at The Woodlands starting June 30!
Karen Smith
Karen “Magic Fingaz” Smith is a percussionist, playwright, director, producer, poet, and leader of two musical groups: Weez The Peeple and Sistahs Laying Down Hands With Love. Karen makes it a part of her daily mantra to stay creative by utilizing all the components of her artistry.
As Karen always says, “the Arts are healing resources for all and everyone is welcome to get some of this medicine.”
